This Week in Diamond: Ovince St. Preux steps in on short notice against Shogun Rua

With no UFC event scheduled this weekend, the world's leading MMA promotion put together an enticing doubleheader next weekend featuring a bevy of intriguing bouts.

The second event, UFC Fight Night 56, was set to be headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua taking on rising contender Jimi Manuwa down in Uberlandia, Brazil.

Unfortunately, a broken foot forced Manuwa to withdraw from the fight just over a week before the scheduled bout. With the event hanging in the balance, the UFC asked Ovince St. Preux to step up on just a weeks' notice to take on Shogun.

UFC 179 Fighter Feature

After a three-week sabbatical, the UFC returns with the exciting UFC 179 pay-per-view card live from Brazil featuring the Featherweight title fight between Diamond MMA supporter Chad “Money” Mendes and Jose Aldo.

Of course “Money” isn’t the only fighter in Brazil sporting Diamond MMA on fight night. No. 13 ranked Featherweight Darren Elkins, who takes on Lucas Martins on the pay-per-view main card, will be protecting his nuts with Diamond as well!

Fighter Feature: Bubba "The Menace" McDaniel

Former TUF 17 star, Bubba “The Menace” McDaniel returns to action this Friday evening in the opening bout on Spike TV for Bellator 128 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

McDaniel will look for his second career Bellator victory and third win in a row when he takes on the dangerous Emiliano Sordi in his Bellator debut.

Friday Feature: TJ Dillashaw

Coming off an electric performance at UFC 173 in which he became the UFC bantamweight champion via an enormous upset, TJ Dillashaw looks to defend his title for the first time against the very man he took it from only three months ago, Renan Barao.

In the main event of UFC 177 tomorrow, Dillashaw and Barao will go to war once more in a highly anticipated rematch.

Dillashaw has been a long time supporter of Diamond MMA products and will be protecting his jewels tomorrow night with Diamond.

Friday Feature: Benson Henderson

The UFC offers up a doubleheader of mixed martial arts action this Saturday with two UFC Fight Night cards featuring some of the most talented fighters in the world.
Amongst the exciting bouts tomorrow is the UFC Fight Night 49 headliner between former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson and rising contender Rafael Dos Anjos.

Friday Feature: Brad Tavares

After a three-week hiatus, the UFC is back for an exciting fight night event in Bangor, Maine. Among the exciting fights for UFC Fight Night 47 is the middleweight collision between contenders Brad Tavares and Tim Boestch.
