Inside is a supportive brief with a double-layered pouch and gusset. Outside is a clean, stretch athletic short with a drawstring waistband that ends just above the knee. One piece, nothing to layer underneath.
It’s the same outer short as our Performance Short With Built-In Jock, made for training days, practice and game days that don’t call for a cup.

What is a performance short with a built-in brief?
It’s an outer athletic short with a supportive brief sewn inside, so you get groin support without wearing a separate brief or compression short underneath. The inner brief has a double-layered pouch, and the outer short ends just above the knee. It’s made for training and sports where you want support but don’t need a cup. If your sport needs a cup, the Performance Short With Built-In Jock uses the same short with a four-strap jock inside.

None of our briefs have a cup pocket, and none are made to be worn with a cup. They’re supportive briefs for when you need groin support but not a cup. The difference is what’s built around the brief.
